Gallery: Highlights

Putting together a gallery of photographs from my stay in Japan has been quite a challenge. Between my photos, my friend Megh's photos, and my homestay family's photos, I have amassed nearly 1,500 pictures that document my travels. Just trying to separate out the best images has been difficult because so many have funny stories attached, show something weird, or just have emotional value.

If you only have time (or interest) in checking out a few images, the ones below are the "Highlights". I tried to show a varied selection that represents both the traditional, urban, iconic and everyday. If you are interesting in checking out a gallery based on region, select a city on the left. I am still in the process of getting all of the galleries online so check back if there isn't an active link available for what you are interested in.

Also, since Engrish.com isn't posting submitted content, I have created a section where I can show all the wacky stuff I came across on my trip which doesn't seem to fit anywhere else. Some of it is oddly worded slogans or signs, but others are just fun shots.
